Small Group Personal Training
I wanted to give you a better idea of what our Small Group Training looks like at Four Horsman Fitness and why we do things a little differently than a traditional group fitness class.
Our sessions are limited to just 2–6 people. That allows you to get the energy and accountability of training around other people while still receiving a workout that's tailored to your goals, abilities, strengths, weaknesses, and limitations.
The biggest difference? You won't walk into a session and see everyone doing the exact same workout.
We typically organize our training around upper-body and lower-body days, then build each person's workout around our Four Pillars of Fitness:
• Strength
• Endurance
• Mobility
• Corrective Exercise
We want your training to help you become stronger and better conditioned, but that's only part of the picture. We also want to identify weaknesses, improve mobility, address movement issues, and help you build a body that moves and performs well.
For example, imagine there are five people in a session. Three might be scheduled for an upper-body day, but all three could have completely different workouts.
One person might have shoulder pain, so we may modify their pressing movements and spend more time on corrective exercises. Another person might be hypermobile, so their program may emphasize stability, control, and strength. The third person may have no limitations and be ready to focus more heavily on building strength.
All three are working out together, but each person is getting the training they actually need.
That's the vision behind Small Group Training at Four Horsman Fitness.
We don't believe you should have to choose between individualized coaching and the atmosphere of training with a group. Our goal is to give you both. You get coaching, programming, accountability, and a community around you, while still having a workout designed to help you make progress toward your own goals.
If you're interested in Small Group Training, we'd be happy to set up a consultation to learn more about your goals, training history, and what you'd like to accomplish.
